Pan treetop cabins are located in the natural paradise of Finnskogen in Hedmark county, Norway. The area offers a vast array of unique hiking, hunting and fishing experiences as well of other exciting activities.

Hiking

The vast forest areas of Finnskogen has a lot to offer for trips by foot. There are several marked routes right outside the door of PAN, but for an experience fo the genuine culture in the area, a trip on the famous trail of Finnskogleden is recommended. The trail of Kirkestien goes past PAN and is connected to Finnskogleden after three miles.

Cycling

Finnskogen has a lot to offer for all eager cyclists. With over 50 miles of connected roads there are endless oppurtunities to see the landscape on a bike. Trail riding or longer trips? It’s all there. At PAN there are cycle routes for every skill level.

Climbing

For those who don’t get enough of aerial experiences through the stay in the cabin, you can visit our next door neighbor, the Gjesåsen climbing park. It’s within walking distance and it offers challenges that is suited for absolutely every age group.

Horse

Get out and about in a horse and carriage! We offer horse and carriage rides with experienced coachmen who know the area as well as their own back pockets. Sleigh rides and horse & carriage rides requires a minimum booking of four people and must be booked at least two weeks in advance.

Fishing and ice fishing

The closest lake is Gjesåssjøen. The lake is full of freshwater fish such as pike, cusk and perch. You can go fishing by boat in summer or ice fishing in winter.

Canoe and kayaking

Finnskogen is a wellknown place for paddlers and this area offers lots of exciting places you can reach and explore by canoe and kayak. Lots of hiking trails and bike tracks and tourist cabins you can easily reach by foot or car, makes this area the perfect place for a family trip.
